Your Recreation is Our Business
Since 1956 Southgate Recreation & Park District (SRPD) has provided the community with public parks, recreation services, facilities, and an 18-hole championship golf course. Throughout the years, our community has seen the evolution of the South Sacramento and Vineyard area; its growing and changing business base, incredible residential growth, and the District’s emphasis on preserving open space and creating walkable communities.
The final Schematic Design Plans for the Vineyard Community Center, Churchill Downs North Community Park, and District Support Facility have been approved by the District Board. Learn More
The Recreation Engaging Children (R.E.C.) Van starts its season in May going through August. This free program is a great way to meet neighbors and Southgate staff. For more information and to view the 2012 schedule visit the R.E.C. Van page.
