
Water AerobicsSpringboard Diving LessonsThis class will teach the fundamentals of springboard diving on a 1-meter diving bard. All participants must be able to tread water and swim unassisted to participate. Beginning: This is an introduction to the sport of springboard diving for individuals with little or no diving experience. Students will be taught forward and backward approaches as well as fundamentals such as proper body alignment, form and entry. Diving safety will be emphasized throughout the class. New dives will be introduced according to ability and comfort level of the participant. Intermediate: This course is for those who have completed beginning diving or have other previous diving experience. Fundamentals and diving safety will continue to be emphasized and divers will be taught more difficult dives including inward dives, forward somersaults and twisting dives. Adult Water AerobicsJoin your friends for a fun and exciting exercise alternative! A certified instructor will put you through a 45-minute workout that will help you to improve flexibility and range of motion while building cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength. Lap SwimCome get your exercise at Fruitridge Aquatic Center. Lap swimming is a great workout that promotes cardiovascular fitness and a healthy lifestyle for people of all ages and abilities. Participants must be at least 16 years old, or 14-15 years old with adult supervision for lap swimming only. |
