COVID-19 District Operations Update

In order to take precautions to protect the community, the District will be following information provided by the Federal Government, the California Department of Public Health, California Department of Industrial Relations (Cal OSHA), California Department of Social Services and Sacramento County Public Health, including wearing face coverings or face masks, maintaining at least 6-foot distance from others, avoiding unnecessary physical contact, and limiting gatherings of people from separate households.

The State of California established a Blueprint for a Safer Economy, which provides a tiered system of re-opening businesses based on the County’s indicators of COVID-19. Information is available at https://covid19.ca.gov/safer-economy/. Effective December 10, 2020, the Greater Sacramento Area is under a Regional Stay at Home Order issued by the State of California. Recreation Programs

In accordance with the State moving Sacramento County into the Regional Stay-at-Home Order, the District has modified recreation programs to be remote. Programs require preregistration and will take via Zoom.

Community Centers

Pat O’Brien Community Center business hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for phone calls, but the facility is closed to the public. Virtual classes are available for registration, please reference the Recreation Program update above. Rizal Community Center, Fruitridge Community Center, Florin Creek Recreation Center, Fletcher Farm Community Center, and Florin East Grammar School are closed to the public.

WildHawk Golf Club

WildHawk Golf Club is open and social distancing and disinfecting guidelines are being followed. The Grille is open for take-out and outdoor patio dining only. The Pro Shop will operate at no more than 20% capacity with entrance metering.

Parks

District parks remain open, including park playgrounds and exercise equipment. Contact sports or activities including, but not limited to basketball, football, volleyball, and soccer are prohibited outside of residences. Please enjoy our parks and trails during this situation while following hygiene and social distancing guidelines.

Gatherings – State of California Restrictions

Gatherings are social situations that bring together people from different households at the same time in a single space or place. Gatherings with members of other households is prohibited.

We are taking precautions advised by local, state and federal health officials for enhanced cleaning at our facilities. We encourage you to increase hygiene efforts to keep hands clean, avoid contact with faces, and remind all participants and employees to remain home if you or a member of your family show any flu-like symptoms.

While monitoring the evolving situation regarding COVID-19 we will continue to use the latest and best information to guide our decisions regarding programs and facilities in the coming weeks ahead.
