Park Information

Jack N. Sheldon Park is the southernmost point of several multi-use park and recreation facilities located along Florin Mall Drive, with Hampton Park and Rizal Community Center located just to the north. Sheldon Park’s major feature is a complex of six lighted tennis courts, making finding an open court for your friendly (or competitive) match stress-free. This popular park is also a great site for baseball and soccer games.

Sheldon Park was named for longtime Southgate Board Member Jack N. Sheldon. The park’s original name was “Trailhead Park,” as it served as the trailhead for the Florin Creek Trail, linking the west and east side of Highway 99 via an undercrossing, and was later renamed in honor of Sheldon.
