Park Information

Known in the past as one of the first and most popular softball complexes, Nicholas Park sits just south of 47th Avenue and east of Highway 99, making it a central location for your group field games or tournaments. Play areas will keep the kids entertained, and a lighted parking area can easily accommodate athletes from outside of the local neighborhood. One of its lighted softball fields is being converted to lighted football and soccer fields and the park is getting a major renovation in 2022 with the help of a $3.6 million grant from the State of California.

Nicholas Park was named after the Nicholas family who owned significant acreage in the area for many years. The District acquired the park site acreage from the Nicholas family in the early 1970s.
