Park Information

Olde Florintown Park is located in the historic Florin community – once known as the “Strawberry Capital of the World.” Although set in a mostly industrial neighborhood, the park is easy to access, just north of Florin Road; and provides a multitude of recreational offerings. This park is a great location for softball, baseball or soccer on lighted fields, and once there, you’ll find plenty of space for picnicking and children’s play.

Olde Florintown Park’s name is a nod to the historical significance of the Florin area. During the early 20th century, Florin’s economy focused mostly on agriculture, with Japanese immigrants living and successfully farming in Florin. During World War II, the Federal Government sent Japanese and Japanese-Americans to internment camps, greatly impacting the character of Florin.
