More Information

If you’re looking to connect with nature in a rural setting (without driving for hours), Dunmore Park Preserve offers a unique local experience. This 33-acre preserve includes a walking trail through natural wetlands where you will experience nature in an undeveloped area of southeast Sacramento County. Seasonal changes in the wetlands create year-round variations in the flora and fauna of the preserve. A great educational outing for a scouting or youth group!

Dunmore Park Preserve was named for local builder/developer and longtime District supporter, George P. Dunmore, who generously donated the land for the preserve to Southgate.
